The Missionary Society of St Thomas the Apostle (MST)
The Missionary Society of St Thomas the Apostle (MST) is a missionary venture of the Syro-Malabar Church. The main thrust of the MST is to foster and promote missionary activities of the Church.
Forty five years down the road, the Society has come a long way in the missionary activities in India and abroad. Today MST has 365 priest members witnessing the Gospel in eleven different countries in five continents. The Society has over 200 candidates under five stages of formation in its own centers of formation manned by well qualified and experienced teams of formators.
MST is a Society of Apostolic Life with an exclusively missionary charism, whose sole goal is to spread the Kingdom of God through witness and apostolic involvement. Drawing spiritual enthusiasm from St Thomas, the Apostle of India and her patron, MST is committed to take up missionary responsibilities anywhere in the world through collective apostolate. The way of life of the members of the Missionary Society is determined, spirituality enriched and life sanctified by their dedicated missionary apostolate.
Our Founder- Bishop Mar Sebastian Vayalil
The founder of MST is the missionary and visionary Bp Sebastian Vayalil, the former Bishop of Palai. MST was born on February 22, 1968 as an organized missionary effort of the St. Thomas Christian Church of Syro-Malabar rite .

MST has got three regions namely St Paul Region consisting of the Northern states of Madhyapradesh, Chathisgarh, Jarkhand, Bihar, Utharpradesh, Odisha, West Bengal, Sikkim, Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Mizoram, Nagaland of India having its Regional House in Ujjain, MP, St Alphonsa Region consisting of Western States of Maharashtra, Goa, Gujrat and Northern districts of Karnataka (Belgavi, Bidar, Bijapur and Raichur) of India having its Regional House in Kolhapur, Maharashtra and St Thomas Region consisting of Southern States of Karnataka, Tamilnadu, Andhrapradesh and Telangana in India having its Regional House in Mandya in Karnataka. MST also has got a Delegation namely Mary Queen of Missions Delegation, Delhi which consists of the states of Haryana, Himachalpradesh, Rajasthan, Utharakhand, Punjab and Union Territories of Delhi, Ladakh, and Jammu Kashmir having its head office at Dilshad Gardens, Delhi.
