a. Requiem Holy Qurbana:Friday 22 November was set apart to commemorate the deceased members of the MST. The close family members of the deceased bishop/priests/ seminarians of the MST were also invited to Deepti. Requiem Holy Qurbana was officiated at the public chapel at 10.30 a.m. by the Director General and concelebrated by other priests in Deepti Mount and the relative priests of the deceased.  The Director General in his homily spoke about all the deceased permanent members of the MST (21 in number) and three seminarians. The office for the dead was celebrated at the cemetery chapel.

b. Memorial Slab at the Cemetery Chapel:The memorial granite slabs with the names and images of all the deceases members with their brief details have been prepared and installed on the central wall of the cemetery chapel.

Deepti Community and the MST members celebrated and animated the Extraordinary Missioanry Month in different ways.

Jubilee is the time to thank the Lord for the blessings that we have received during the last fifty years and to entrust all our missions to the Lord to make them more fruitful and effective. In collaboration with Santhome Fellowship, a prayer team was prepared for the renewal programmes in the Regions. Frs Anoop Joseph and Wilson George of CSSr congregation led the renewal programmes in St Paul’s Region Ujjain. It was arranged in three places, such as Pachore on 14^th, Bhopal on 15^th and Mendya on 17^th November, 2016. 25 conferrers of Ujjain mission participated in either of these three renewal programmes. The second team consists of Rev Fr Jose Puthussery of Ernakulam, Mrs Alice and Mr Antony from Ernakulam led the renewal programmes in St Alphonsa Region, Sangli. The programme started on 22^nd November and completed all the centers on 4^th December.  The tame spent a day each in all most all the mission centers in Sangli region. All the missionaries participated in this prayer day. The day was set apart as a prayer day and the prayer team led diverse spiritual activities including adoration, rosary, reflection, etc. 

Mr. Thomman (Thomas) Champakara (88 years)—beloved Father of Rev. Fr Francis Champakara is called to Eternal Reward this evening(12 Dec 2016).  The funeral services  will take place at St. Anne’s Knanaya Catholic Church, Kottody, Kasargod in the Archeparchy of Kottayam. The ceremony starts at home at 02.00 p.m. day after tomorrow (Thursday, December 15, 2016).

Rev. Father Francis Kandathil MST, 83 years (06/04/1933-17/11/2016), one of the pioneer members of our Society and a great missionary, is called to eternal bliss this morning(17/11/2016) at 7 a.m. in Bombay Hospital, Indore.

The 12^th batch of MST Fathers, ordained during 1991-1992, celebrate the Silver Jubilee of their Sacerdotal Ordination this year. They are, according to the date of their ordination: Fr Karamel Thomas [27/12/1991], Fr Thuppalanjiyil George [28/12/1991], Fr Tharappel Augustine [29/12/1991], Fr Kunnel Kuriakose [30/12/1991], Fr Mundackal George [31/12/1991], Fr Valiamangalam Jose [31/01/1992], Fr Chitteth Xavier [28/04/1992], Fr Muttathupadam George [30/04/1992], Fr Manjamattam John [2/05/1992]. A celebration was organised at the Generalate, in collaboration with Deepti Minor Seminar, on 08^th November 2016. Cultural programmes by Deepti seminarians, sharing by the Jubilarians and solemn dinner were the highlights of the celebration on 08^th evening. On 09^th morning, there was a solemn Eucharistic celebration by the Jubilarians, presided over by Fr George Muttathupadam; Fr Xavier Chitteth gave an inspiring homily.
